ABOUT US
Our credit union provides more opportunity than other financial institutions because it is owned and governed by the people who utilize its products and services. Every member owns a share of the credit union, and the credit union operates to promote the financial well-being of all its members.
At City of Firsts Community FCU, our number one priority is the members. When you walk into our office you will be served by a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Our entire staff from the President, to the Loan Department, to the tellers, will treat you with courtesy, respect and enthusiasm.
Our History:
City of Firsts Community Federal Credit Union, formerly known as Kokomo School Employees Federal Credit Union, was established in 1938 by Mr. Charles Franklin. As Kokomo School Employees FCU, we serviced the employees of Kokomo Consolidated School Corp. and its family members. In 2006, City of Firsts Community FCU received permission from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) to offer membership to anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school or volunteers in Howard and Tipton Counties. The word "Community" was added to the name to better reflect our designation as a Community Credit Union. Assets now exceed $36 million, Shares exceed $22 million, and Loans to members, exceed $10 million. Our total membership now totals over 3,000 members.
Our Mission:
"City of Firsts Community Federal Credit Union - Where your trust is our guarantee for member financial security."
