USA Patriot Act:
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account, in accordance with Public Law 107-56 also known as Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools
Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism (USA PATRIOT Act) Act of 2001.
The law also includes the Critical Infrastructures Protection Act of 2001, Crimes Against Charitable Americans Act of 2001, International Money Laundering Abatement and Financial Anti-Terrorism Act of 2001, and the First Responders Assistance Act.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying objects.
